I can’t believe it! It seems like only a few months ago that
I wrote the post about his unexpected early arrival. Now he’s a healthy,
active, determined (ie: stubborn) near toddler! He started crawling on Mother’s
day and pulling to stand not long after. Now he’s happily cruising the
furniture and getting into whatever he can reach. Here are his one year old
stats: 23 lbs 1 oz and 30 ½ inches long. He’s almost the same size Ashton was
at a year old. I’m so happy that he caught up so well with his growth. He’s
awesome! Oh... and he FINALLY said mama this week! Yippie!
For his birthday we just had some cake and had him open
gifts. Ben’s mom and sister, Susanna, and her little guy, Adrian came over.
Isaac received an outfit from Grandma Hope, some clothes and books from Grandma
Wilcox, and some homemade blocks, a set of nesting/stacking bowls and a book
from me. He loved ripping the wrapping paper and eating the cake, as you can
see… hee hee. It took him a couple minutes to really get into the cake but
before long, he was painting the side of his face and head with chocolate
frosting. It was awesome!
